This level of support will allow the Urban League to make an impact in our community:

• Counsel 80 families per month on the benefits and responsibilities of homeownership through our Homebuyers Workshops and Pre-purchase counseling program

• Assist 75 families per month in the effort to retain their homes through our Foreclosure Mitigation counseling program

This level of support will allow CFUL to make an impact in our community by:

• Providing GED and Job Skills training to 100 students annually that provide them with tools required to get their first job through our Project Ready program

• Assist families in securing their homes through our Security Survey program, which works with families to review their home security and fire safety needs

• Counsel 100 students per month on the alternatives to participating in criminal activities through our Youth Crime Prevention and Intervention counseling program

• Develop and coach youth between the ages of 8 - 18 to choose positive activities through our Youth Club and “Nulites” program, as a part of the National Urban Leagues youth initiative

• Extend our reach into the community through the volunteer programs of our Central Florida Urban League Guild, and our Central Florida Young Professionals Network:

  • Ultimate Humanitarian Awards Program, that highlights that success of our “Project Ready” graduates, and the contributions of Central Floridians that extend themselves to help others in our community

  • Professional Development for young professionals ages 21 – 40, that connects them with professionals to provide mentoring opportunities, and opportunities to move their careers forward through informative seminars and workshops
