The Financial literacy seminars are facilitated through certified financial education coaches. The curriculum is age appropriate and geared toward youth interested in going to college. The curriculum includes financial planning for college and student life (books, food, etc) as well as successfully applying for and repaying financial loans.
The Career coach will provide one-on-one counseling and group workshops ranging from "coping skills in college" to "selecting a major based on individual strengths and interests". Each student will work with the career coach to achieve all the goals set forth in their Achievement Plan. Information sessions will be scheduled focusing on admissions and financial aid process; perspectives from a panel of current college students; insight to success from professors; and/or alumni guest speakers sharing their successful journeys to completion. Additionally, career coaches will provide: job placement, ongoing case management, and follow-up/retention services.
