“Being a sponsor is a huge opportunity for social and professional networking.”

Nichelle Nesbitt is the owner/operator of Shiobhan Charles Salon, a full-service salon located in downtown Orlando. A John Paul Mitchell nationally-trained stylist and educator, Nichelle is also a Central Florida Urban League Corporate sponsor.

“It’s a two-way street,” Nichelle says. “By investing in the Central Florida Urban League, I’m reaching out and giving back to the community. And for my business, being a sponsor is a huge opportunity for social and professional networking.”

Nichelle opened her salon in 2006 and currently has four employees. She says she’s excited about the League’s vision and mission, and for the opportunity to not only network, but potentially recruit a young person and guide them in the business. “By working with interested youth, I have the opportunity to gain a strong employee, and they gain practical work experience, good people skills, and the chance to help make men and women feel and look good,” NIchelle says.
