Write, Deliver newscasts, news reporting and specials reports when assigned

Live shots or field anchor as needed

Edit stories as assigned

Make public appearances/community involvement

Front station promos

Develop contacts in the community and become involved in community projects

Minimum of three years on-air anchoring or reporting experience preferred

College degree with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism or Communications preferred

Must have excellent written and verbal communication in Spanish and English

Strong organizational and delivery skills

Excellent presentations and reportorial skills

Knowledge of journalistic standards as related to the on-air presentation of the news

Must be able to work well under pressure and with others to develop and execute compelling newscast

Must be self-motivated and creative

Must write stories that have been assigned in a compelling and accurate manner

Always follow the producer's instructions

Cooperate with producers at any time needed

Actively listen and follow directions in the newsroom

Send daily story ideas to the producer/News Director. 

Participates on daily editorial meetings, pitches story ideas and showcasing of daily stories

Do in-house packages and re-track stories when needed

Voice over the news briefs on a daily basis as assigned by the producer

Work with other producers and anchor to craft "anchor moments" throughout the newscasts.

Engage viewers daily on talent Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts

Participates in community events and represent those appearances on social media.
