For the past five years, the FAIRWINDS Foundation has truly defined what it is to be a community partner. Fairwinds has provided the Central Florida Urban League with much more than a check, but their employees have provided their time and knowledge to truly ensure that both our staff and clients grow as a result of our partnership.

FAIRWINDS employees have continuously volunteered their time to mentor both our staff and clients in a variety of areas. Naturally, FAIRWINDS has provided critical financial literacy workshops to teach our clients how to develop efficient household budgets, create savings plans, manage debt, formulate strategic investment decisions for themselves and their families and avoid common pitfalls such as predatory loans. 

Equally as important, FAIRWINDS employees have also spent their time properly preparing and mentoring with critical life and soft skills to succeed in their interview and once they begin their new jobs. Additionally, FAIRWINDS has helped our clients look the part via Dress for Success, which ensures that they have the proper attire to impress in an interview and on the job. Soft skills, complemented by proper clothing, leads to an unmatched feeling of confidence that has allowed so many of our clients to climb the professional ladder.

With a proper foundation in financial literacy, alongside the confidence to navigate a new working environment, these clients are helping our community grow and in turn, brings us all one step closer to breaking the cycle of generational poverty.
